Unwanted Hair Removal
Unwanted hair removal methods are numerous some good, some bad and some downright painful. Known unwanted hair removal methods are using tweezers, shaving, waxing, electrolysis etc. Whatever method of unwanted hair removal you use most can irritate the skin. After unwanted hair removal treatment you might find moisturising the skin helpful. Using tweezers works for about three weeks then soon after the hair grows back, so it is not an effective method of unwanted hair removal. Shaving to remove unwanted facial hair normally results in the reappearance on men in one day but for the removal of unwanted body hair will possibly last about 4 days. Shaving for women to remove unwanted hair wasn't popular until the early part of the 20th Century, when the safety razor was invented which advertised sanitary benefits to women by shaving their underarms. Unwanted hair removal on legs became popular through the advent of sheer nylon stockings during the Second World War. Unwanted hair removal by shaving on the body is more difficult than facial shaving because the skin is more tender in certain areas, such as the bikini area or the legs. Generally, for unwanted hair removal shaving is done against the direction of hair growth. For sensitive areas, shaving in the direction of hair growth often works better and gives fewer skin cuts, but can be slower. If the skin becomes red and bumpy stop shaving until the skin heals and the redness vanishes. You risk infection if you shave while your skin is still healing. Unwanted hair removal by Epilators. Mechanical epilators have an electric rubber roller or coiled spring that catches the hair and pulls it out and tends to miss some hair. As the hair enters the spaces between the coils, the coils grab the hair and pull it out down to the hair root. Epilators should not be used on very sensitive skin such as the face, genitals, or armpits. Unwanted hair removal by Depilatory creams. Depilatory creams are available in various forms. Depilatory creams contain a chemical, that dissolves the protein structure of the hair and causes it to separate from the skin. Sometimes, chemical depilatories don't work very well for naturally "hairy" people. For an effective method of unwanted hair removal , depilatory creams can work well, but they can also cause skin irritations. Instructions must be followed carefully. Depilatories should not be used for eyebrows or other areas around the eyes, or on inflamed or broken skin. Their effect lasts about 7 days. Unwanted hair removal by Waxing. Waxing is one of the most effective methods for temporary unwanted hair removal because it removes hair with its roots, not just at the skin surface as with shaving. Unwanted hair removal by electrolysis. Electrolysis is a proven method of permanent unwanted hair removal. Electrolysis should be performed by a qualified professional. Unwanted hair removal by laser. Unwanted hair removal by laser is the newest hair removal technique and it is rapidly improving. It provides an extremely fast treatment time with very little discomfort and less pain than electrolysis. It provides long-lasting effects. Excellent results are reported for the face, neck, and underarms Most people have about 50% less hair in 4 months after just one session. When the hair grows back, it tends to be finer and sparser. Laser Treatment Procedure. One of the primary attractions of the new, longer-pulse lasers used for unwanted hair removal is the relative lack of pain when compared to other hair removal methods. Also, many new lasers automatically scan an area, giving a more uniform and faster hair removal.

Microdermabrasion Treatment
Microdermabrasion treatments are a cosmetic procedure where by the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion. Previous microdermabrasion treatments used abrasive crystals, nowadays it is common to use a wand with a roughened surface. Different methods of Microdermabrasion include mechanical abrasion from jets of zinc oxide or aluminium oxide crystals, fine organic particles, or a roughened surface. Microdermabrasion treatments can be used to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin. The microdermabrasion treatment method is not painful and requires no anaesthetic. Microdermabrasion treatment can be used medically to remove scars, when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars. Microdermabrasion treatment can also be used for acne treatment, but must be repeated periodically to be effective. Microdermabrasion treatments in Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex, UK. Microdermabrasion treatments were first used in Europe and later by United States. Microdermabrasion treatments can effectively treat fine wrinkles, stretch marks, and scars left from acne. Microdermabrasion treatments is a fairly recent skin-care technique and may be thought of as an "instant facelift", an effective alternative to costlier procedures like plastic surgery. Lately, more and more men are trying Microdermabrasion treatments, instead of cosmetic surgery. What is microdermabrasion treatment ?. Microdermabrasion is the application of tiny rough grains to buff away the surface layer of skin. Parts of the body that are suitable for microdermabrasion treatment are the face, chest, neck, arms or hands. Microdermabrasion treatment removes or breaks up the stratum corneum, the body interprets this as a mild injury and rushes to replace the lost skin cells with new and healthy ones. With the stratum corneum gone, the skin's surface is improved. The healing process brings with it newer skin cells that look and feel smoother. Some of the skin's visible imperfections, like sun damage, blemishes and fine lines, are removed. As microdermabrasion treatment temporarily removes some moisture from the skin, it is always followed by the application of moisturising creams. Studies suggest that repeating microdermabrasion treatments at regular intervals may influence the way the lower layers of skin grow, as well as, removing deeper blemishes over time. There is some evidence which seems to indicate that the rapid loss of skin moisture may be what triggers the lower skin layers to work overtime in speeding healthy cells up to the surface.
